Miley Cyrus – The Bangerz Tour

A couple of weeks ago I went to the concert of Miley Cyrus in Antwerp. First of all I didn’t know what to expect. But when I was at the “Sportpaleis”, I saw a lot of younger girls with their parents. Many of these young girls were dressed just like Miley. I mean they didn’t wear a lot of clothes. This makes me doubt if Miley is such a good role model…

NED: Een tijdje geleden ben ik naar het concert van Miley Cyrus geweest. Ik wist in het begin niet wat ik er van moest verwachten. Maar eens ik in het sportpaleis gearriveerd was, zag ik vooral jongere meiden met hun ouders. Deze jonge meisjes waren gekleed zoals Miley. En hiermee bedoel ik dat ze niet veel kleding droegen. Ik ben er niet echt zeker van of Miley echt zo’n goede invloed heeft op de jeugd…

The concert had some good and bad moments. I’m sorry to say but the concert was not my cup of tea. I’m really not prudish but for me the show was too sexy, even vulgar sometimes, and it was all about sex, drugs and being naked.A couple of years ago she was a real role model. But now I think that her behaviour has a bad effect on her youngest fans.
The music was also really loud and at some moments I couldn’t hear her sing. But there were also good moments in the show. I only filmed these moments because the other songs and the rest of the show were not that great in my personal opinion. The video can you find below the photos.

NED: The Bangerz Tour had goede en minder goede momenten maar jammer genoeg overheersten de slechte momenten. Voor mij was deshow veel te sexy, soms zelfs vulgair, en het concert draaide precies enkel om seks, drugs en naakt zijn. Nu ben ik helemaal niet preuts maar ik vond persoonlijk toch dat het er op sommige momenten over ging. Dat vind ik wel vrij jammer want ik denk niet dat haar gedrag een goede invloed heeft op haar jongste fans. Zeker als je bedenkt dat Miley Cyrus vroeger nog een echt rolmodel was. Neen, The Bangerz Tour was niet het beste concert dat ik al gezien heb. De muziek stond op sommige momenten zo luid dat ik Miley amper hoorde zingen. Maar er waren wel enkele goede momenten in de show. Ik heb enkel deze momenten gefilmd omdat het grootste deel van de show naar mijn persoonlijke mening niet zo goed was.
