A time ago I got a special invitation for my blog. Namely for the grand blogger dinner. When I saw this invitation I was so happy! Because I saw the pictures from last year and this year I got my own invitation! So yes I was so happy and curious! And last Friday it was finally time to discover everything and enjoy a (veggie) 5 course menu. Of course I have to tell you more about that! Not only because the food was really good. But also because now I got so much inspiration for cooking (especially for the holidays.) And also because I discovered a lot of new and good food brands with awesome and yummy products! So time to get hungry. 😉
First of all I’m vegetarian for almost 7 year so I don’t eat meat and fish. And thank god that there was a special table for the veggies once! So the food I’m showing is of course the veggie dishes. The dinner found place at the beautiful hilton hotel in Brussels. The location and the table setting was just on point! Everything was perfect with a touch of gold!
The first course was a green herb soup from Spar with garnishes. The soup from spar was for sure good but the extra garnishes as the meringue and the puff pastry made this soup magnificent! For sure a good dish to impress your guests with the holidays!
This is pasta with white sauce with winter pumpkin cream sprinkled with white wine. I’m a real pasta lover and this was by far the best pasta I ever ate! The pasta itself was also just perfect it was the ‘cavatelli murgiani’ from granoro dedicato. And the sauce with pumpkin cream was sublime!
La morena tortillas
The third course was a tortilla filled with pulled mushrooms with a feta cilantro topping. To be honest I’m not a huge fan from tortillas in combination with mushrooms. But till my big surprise this was surprising good and spicy! I really loved the spicy combination from the tortilla with the mushrooms and the feta topping. For sure something that I’m going to make again! Or better try! 😉
A journey through flavours by Hilton
This was the four plate but I was already so full. But when I toke my first bite I was directly sold! The most flavors where new for me, it was a real discovery. Of course I enjoyed ever bite of it. It was a dish with artichokes in the picture finish with the most fantastic flavors ever! This dish was created by the head chef from the Hilton. I’m a real dessert lover and I always keep space for that. But this time I chose to finish this because it was way to good. And if I couldn’t eat dessert after this anymore I didn’t care. So good was it!
Chocolate cup tasting
Luckily the dessert was not so huge but small and lovely! It were chocolate cups filled with a special filling like caramel, mocha and I think praline. Of course I couldn’t eat it all. But I tasted a bit from all the three and omg love but love chocolate! Especially in this form! Mmm, who doesn’t love a good chocolate tasting! 😉
It was a real experience for me. I’m so grateful for this invitation, everything was perfect! I discovered a lot new flavors! So a big thank you too the organization and of course for the chefs and the food sponsors! And also a big thanks for the good veggie food! 😉
